About Spanky

This is Spanky! He is a large and bubbly dog, who needs a home that can maintain his health needs as we no longer can. His original owner had abandoned him and we took over for the past few months, but are not in the financial position to do so nor does this sweet boy get the attention he deserves. He has gone to multiple vets as he has sores that will open up and bleed if he is not given half a pill of prednisone a day. He also requires antimicrobial baths at least once a week in order to keep him comfortable. He is a lovable and playful pup, but due to the effects of the steroid he is on the heavier side weighing in at about 110 pounds. He lived with a small shih tau for a short time and the shih tzu always managed to be the dominant one. Spanky has been around young kids with high energy and around adults and is on the quiet and goofy side when nobody is giving him attention. We are hoping we can find him a home immediately as euthanasia has become an option if we cannot find him a home.
