(adoption pending) Hi! My name is Gertie, I was rescued from a kill shelter in Georgia by this wonderful rescue in Vermont ! Actually they saved my life twice! When I arrived I didn't eat, I was congested and coughing, throwing up yellow frothy bile, and i couldn't walk...was very weak... My rescue foster mommy took me right to the animal hospital but after exam the vet didn't think I was going to make. My rescue said that they were going to do everything they could to get me well and sure enough they did !!! I'm a wonderfully even tempered Little girl, I weigh about 8 to 10 pounds, I get along with most dogs and I enjoy playing with other dogs. I've been potty trained, and crate trained, I love cuddling up with the other dogs on my foster mom's lap at night and watch TV And I will ride in the car & love going for walks ... I haven't really been around cats or little children or so I don't know if I'm OK with them or not... my rescue doesn't know anything about my past, neither did the shelter Because i was an unclaimed stray.. i'm looking for a loving home with gentle kind people who will keep my vaccines up-to-date and keep me on my monthly heartworm prevention, take me for walks, play ball with me, Feed me good quality food and love me for the rest of my life.
