About Balto

Balto is a 7 year old mixed breed dog who weighs in the 35-40 lb. range; the shape of his ears and face, and his classic black and white markings may remind you of a Boston Terrier. Balto is one of the sweetest dogs we have at our shelter right now; he doesn't seem to make a sound in his kennel and appears to be completely housebroken. He is used to living inside with adults, children, and other pets. He is friendly and bonds quickly with people; when volunteers are outside his front or back gate, cleaning or picking up food and water bowls, Balto is right there too, wagging his tail, and trying to get close through his fencing. Balto is another one of our dogs who earns high praise because he would be such an easy going companion for a first time dog owner and would also make a wonderful, low maintenance addition to a dog friendly family.
