About Kodiak (Kodi)

Hi! My name is Kodi. I was at this really scary place I think it was a jail for dogs they called it animal control. I was there for a week when this nice lady put a leash on me and we got in her car. The people at the jail said to her she had gotten here just in time to save me because they were getting ready to send me to heaven. She then said 'you're going to be okay buddy' She gently reached back to me and petted my head very softly, she didn't want to scare me. Her hand on me felt so good no one had done that in a very very long time. She felt my ribs and told me I was going to get lots to eat where I was going and I shouldn't be afraid anymore. She took me to a place where many people took care of me, one I think was called a doctor. They poked and took xrays and from all the tests there's nothing that came up, I'm NOT even heart worm positive! This nice lady found that I had a microchip and called to find out who I belong to. She was connected with a family who had me when I was a puppy, kept me 2 years then had a baby and gave me away. That lady said she'd try to find those people but they too had given me up in 2013 because they were moving. Neither one wants me back, I don't know why as I sure loved them and I was a good dog! Don't know what happened after that, someone found me and turned me in finally to the doggy jail. I could stand to put on some weight I was really really hungry out on my own traveling from place to place. So what would make me the happiest dog in the world is to just find a family or person who would take me in, make sure I get some canned dog food (cause that's what I like), give me a walk once a day (not too far), and a place to lay my head. I promise I won't be any trouble. It sure would be wonderful to spend my golden years, Loved, and not discarded because I was inconvenience..... I'll be a good boy, I promise!!!
