About Madame Clara

Adoption Fee: $175
Lab mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Hello darling, fabulous to meet you. Most people address me as Madame Clara, but you may call me Clara. When I came to Augusta Dog Adoptions, I was very scared and very pregnant. I've had my puppies and they've all found their forever homes, so I'm hoping the world doesn't forget about me and I can find my own forever home, too. I am a seven year old Labrador Retriever mix. I am very submissive and calm, so if you are looking for a loving, gentle, and cuddly companion, you should come meet me and show me some love. I am hoping to find a patient, kind person who can help me work through the rest of my fears. Thanks to my dedicated foster mom, I have overcome by anxiety about walking on leash and now I'm a total rockstar at it! Despite my fears, I do very well in my foster home on my own and I do not struggle with separation anxiety or destructive behaviors. I am house trained, I just need to be let out regularly. I enjoy being around kids and other dogs and I feel that having a dog companion would probably speed up my progress. A fenced yard for me to feel safe in would be a great plus, too. If you are looking for a calm, gentle companion for you, your kids, or your dogs, I would definitely be a great addition to your family. Come to the Waynesboro Petsmart on Saturdays between 10 AM and 1 PM to meet me and ask my foster mom anything you'd like to know. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. For more information and to apply to adopt, please visit www.augustadogadoptions.org If you google our address, you will be directed to Richmond. That is NOT our adoption event location. If you have questions, please message us on Facebook.
