About Zelda

Meet Zelda Zelda is a super cute three month old hound mix. Zelda and her brother Ziggy were surrendered to Animal Control because their owners had too many dogs. For a three month old puppy AC is no place to be. So we scooped Zelda and Ziggy up and brought them to our shelter on October 6. Zelda currently weighs 15 pounds and is as cute as a button with her little white nose, reddish coat and beautiful green eyes. Zelda loves meeting people. Her tail is constantly wagging in the hopes that someone will snuggle with her or play with her and Ziggy. Life is all fun and games for a puppy and Zelda has a zest for life. She's super solid and has good puppy confidence and energy. Zelda is a charmer and definitely worth meeting. She doesn't need to stay with Ziggy, but they are quite a pair if you have the heart and home for both of them. Come meet our Zelda. You'll be glad you did. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet, a call to landlord if renting and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. Those who are not in a nearby community will have a virtual home visit. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. We're closed Mondays.
