About Luna

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Luna is 2 %BD -3 years old and around 35-40 pounds. She is well trained and knows her basic obedience commands (sit, lay down, etc). She is super smart and quick so learning more tricks or commands will be a synch. She is house trained and crate trained as well. Luna's personality is one of the many ways she shines bright. She is excellent with all people, including children. In fact, she loves kids!%A0She will run around with her lightening quickness and play for days on ends with them. She is also really sociable with other dogs too! She does well with small, medium, and large dogs. She also has a keen interest in cats, she will follow them and study them. Give her a week and they will be the best of friends. Luna loves to play, but like some heelers fetch doesn't come naturally. She loves to chase the ball but don't expect her to bring it back. She can learn though as she is a smart pup. Luna does do well off leash and can be left to run around and roam free when hiking on trails. When driving Luna to start, bring a few calming treats and give a little extra TLC when going to her favorite park or trail. She will flourish in most any environment, whether urban or rural. Luna is a true cattle dog at heart so there are some quirks and behavioral challenges one might face. She doesn't like being apart from her special person, and might suffer some separation anxiety. If she is left too long without proper stimulation or outside her crate she might rip up a pillow or socks. She is a velcro dog through and through, she loves to cuddle and lay with her special person. She needs a good run and some love before leaving her alone. As said she does great with other dogs, but gets jealous easily so make sure you give her the love she deserves. She is also one of the faster sprinters of any dog we've seen. She is a quick, friendly, and loving cattle dog. But unfortunately, Luna needs a new home. She needs her forever home to be one where her special person can give her proper attention. The new home can have dogs, but we recommend that it be one without an alpha or dominate dog, as Luna loves to cuddle and play and needs to be around similar spirits. Luna is a special girl who deserves lots of love.
