About Bear

Bear's full name is 'Beary the Flash Allen.' When we bought him we were told he was a full-bred golden retriever but after one ear started sticking straight up and then the second one, we knew that was not possible;-) He received a genetic test which we have the results of. He is mostly Korean Jindo, with some german shepard and chow chow. He is obedience trained and graduated from PetSmart's training program. He knows both voice and nonverbal commands. He is a VERY smart dog. Unfortunately, due to an upcoming move I am not able to take him with me. He does have some separation anxiety, trouble with going to the vet. But, I was planning on training him as a service pet until an unexpected move presented itself. He is not the dominant of the pack (we have 3 older pugs-almost 5,13,13 years old respectively). He is like the annoying younger brother to all of them. The younger male, Smokey, is the dominant. I think he would do well being the only dog in the house, as he needs attention and time to get love. My friend's children absolutely adore him, but due to their father having allergies, he cannot live with them. He loves people once he gets to know them. He does have a few behavioral issues (i.e; jumping up on people; giving kisses; eating non-food items, which can all be helped through consistent training; he loves mud, but hates water; He play bites, as he was taken from his litter too early before being adopted; He is crate trained; needs daily exercise; and is an all-around loveable pet; he needs a forever home with people with or without kids who will love and adore him; he will do anything for a good treat, belly rub, or time to cuddle; disclaimer he sometimes sleeps on his back like a human;) I love him and want him to be happy!
