About Chanel

I adopted Chanel from an animal shelter about 2 years ago. She is a very sweet dog. She doesn't tear up anything. She doesn't bark (almost at all) She 'goes' outside. Doesn't bite at all. She is very very scary. Scared of everything and everyone. I don't know what happened to her , I couldn't imagine anyone abusing her, but you never know. She's been like this since we brought her home. . I really feel bad for her. Obviously my family loves her and treats her well, but after all this time she doesn't respond to anyone except me. If there is anyone in the room with me she runs and hides where she can. Men seem to really scare her. I have to rely on my son and my husband to help feed and take her out and it's a choir to get her from behind where she hides to get her out. And that puts stress on her. I can't be there all the time. Plus I really would prefer if she was somewhere with someone she can just totally relax with. I couldn't imagine living scared to death all the time like she is. Breaks my heart thinking about it. But I am hoping I can find a good home for her, with someone who is patient enough to take time with her and make her happy. I just don't think my home was a right pick for her. Her coat is white. Short hair. She averages 5-7 lbs. ( sometimes she eats the other dogs food) but normally she's right around 6 lbs. .I have 2 other chihuahuas she gets along with so no problems with other small dogs.
