Hey buddy, let me ask you a question. You ever heard of the domino effect? I'll give you an example; I get rescued at the last minute from a rural kill shelter, transported out here, sit outside of Petsmart and wait, and wait, and wait for you. All these small things build up to, you guessed it, you adopting me, Domino! While they might not have the papers to prove it, some veteran Hound fosters with Augusta Dog Adoptions believe I am most likely a purebred Treeing Walker Coonhound. To be honest, I don't really know what any of that means, but I do know that I am pretty stinkin' unusual for a hound. I'm a little shy sometimes, very quiet, crate-trained, and even leash-trained! I'm a great friend for another dog because I don't get caught up in all that alpha male business. Pretty impressive for a dog that is only two or three years old, huh? If you're looking for a well-mannered, intelligent (and did I mention photogenic?) companion to brighten your day and fill the hound-shaped hole in your life, you ought to come down to the Waynesboro Petsmart on Saturdays between 10 AM and 2 PM and meet me, Domino! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
