We rescued Rafa from a shelter about a year ago, when he was three or four. He appears to be a purebred German Shepherd but we aren't sure. He was starved and somewhat shy and food aggressive, but with love, he has become a loving, kind dog, very attached to my husband and loves chasing balls, going on hikes, and just hanging out at home (he was at home 10 hours/day on his own). He did well with our cat. Unfortunately, Rafa did not do well when we had our baby. He became snappy with people he knew well and with our cat, and was aggressive with the vet due to severe anxiety. He is a dog who needs a quiet, structured home, maybe with a person or couple with a large yard who can give him love and daily exercise. We are willing to pay for some training sessions for Rafa as well as other expenses. We are heartbroken to give him up but have to keep our new daughter safe given his change in behavior with her.
