About Maya

Maya is a lovable, cuddly, energetic, White boxer who happens to be deaf. We have gotten her trained on a Vibration collar and she is a good dog. The problem is we have 4 small children and the commotion and chaos of having 4 children under 8 is to much for her. Because of the deafness when they run around it puts her on high alert and then causes her to be anxious. She doesn't hurt them or anything, in fact she tries to play with them, but it just puts her on high alert all the time. Essentially they are just to much for her. We did not know she was deaf when we got her, so we have given her everything we got. But we have a newborn baby our 4th child and my husband just got back surgery. So we don't essentially have the time she needs to be the best dog she can be. Maya needs a person who can continue to work with her on her training and has older kids she does love other dogs and prefers to be with them. She is house trained, basic commands trained and is still working on retrieval. She is lovable, playful and would love a jogging partner!
