About Xena - Courtesy Post

Hi everyone this is Xena! She was found in a parking lot in Houston possibly dumped after she was no longer needed to nurse her puppies. She is very friendly, loyal, and an extremely sweet girl. She is approximately a 2 year old, 40 pound Kelpie Mix. You can see her beautiful brown and black features with her gorgeous tail! She loves other dogs, especially the smaller ones (t hey are easier to play with) and cats! She walks well on a leash and is potty trained but will still need some reenforcing when in a new home. Xena will fit in a house with kids (young or older) active to semi active households. She loves walks but will also lay on the couch with you all day! Another great thing about Xena, she can self entertain!!!! She will run around throwing a ball or rope by herself, or chew on a Nylabone for a while and before you know it, she is asleep next you worn out from all the playing. With that being said, she loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, soft toys, and nylabones. Xena is very trainable, she loves to sit and give you her paw or both paws to 'sit pretty' (she learned that after one showing!) Xena loves her humans so much she sleeps well in her kennel as long as she gets to be in the bed room with you. She is still needing further training to be created while her human is away as she tends to get anxious and wants to escape to find her person. This beautiful sweet little girl has been through a lot. Dumped, rescued, thought she had her forever home and then surrendered when a move didn't allow her to go.
