Hi, my name is Carter! Am an about 3 years old and I weigh about 17 pounds. I am high energy pup and I literally bounce with joy when my foster mom comes home. I love to race around the back-yard like a track star, wrestle with other dogs and am learning to play fetch. I would really love a home with another dog! I am pretty good on a leash, crate-trained, good with kids and love tummy rubs/snuggling. I need a refresher on potty training, but I am sure that will go quickly as I am into those treats and want to please you! I am sweet, loving and a good watch-dog. Carter was rescued from TX and was a part of a cruelty case. It seems he was hit by a car (he had a huge gash on his leg) and then was left with that on the porch of his apartment with no medical care. One of the volunteers at Westbury Care in Tx was able to get the owners to surrender him and they were kind enough to give him the medical care he needed. When FHDR heard about Carter, we had him transported to NJ to live in a foster home. Carter's leg is healed and he loves running around the yard playing with his friend Suzie (who is also up for adoption). Carter is looking for a furever home where he can share his joyful personality with!!Please note Furever Home Dog Rescue does not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be alone all day. The breed this pet is listed as is Furever Home Dog Rescue's best guess as we have no background info on who the mom and dad are. Furever Home Dog Rescue does not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported to NJ.
