This pretty red 1.5 year old Australian Cattledog is Cheyenne. She weighs about 30 pounds. She was captured in Hollister and brought to the shelter as a feral dog. Her foster has really helped Cheyenne see how great life can be. Cheyenne will do best in a home with another balanced dog to continue learning from, as she has learned from her foster pals.%BD%BD%BD%A0Because of her background she needs someone with experience in the breed, and with shy or feral dogs.%BD%BD%BD%A0 She is one of the smartest dogs we have ever worked with, she quickly caught onto clicker training and house training.%BD%BD%BD%A0 She has a high prey drive and we believe she could potentially be a working dog or a great agility dog.%BD%BD%BD%A0 As she has trusted us more and more we have seen her goofy side come out.%BD%BD%BD%A0 %BD%BD%BD%A0She makes the sweetest little sounds when she's happy and she loves to snuggle in the morning.%BD%BD%BD%A0%BD%BD%BD%A0 Cheyenne has learned to sit, wait, and is working on shake. She is a nice girl but not appropriate for a home with small kids or lots of busy teens. She does love to play with other dogs and does best with dogs her size and larger. Cheyenne is also good on leash. She is learning that car rides can be fun, so reinforcement would be good. Cheyenne prefers a ranch home or small acreage. She isn't a city girl. Cheyenne is described as wily little fox, having survived on her own for so long she is indeed extremely smart.%BD%BD%BD%A0When you look into her eyes you see an intelligence%BD%BD%BD%A0few dogs can match.%BD%BD%BD%A0%BD%BD%BD%A0 Cheyenne is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is being fostered in Monterrey County. We do not ship our dogs. She is available for a meeting and adoption near her foster home. A home visit and vet reference are required.
