About Sassy

Hey, everyone. Sassy here. I arrived at rescue in November 2017. The rescue was coming to pick up my younger JRT brother, Buddy, when they found out that our dad (who was moving out of the country and was not allowed to bring us) had to let us go. Unlike Buddy, who got adopted within no time, it's taken me a little more time to get my glamour shots and get out there. You see, I'm an older Chi gal around 13. The folks here could tell I was in some discomfort (on account of my arthritis 'n all) and wanted to get me 'all checked out' ��%BD'��%BD| and that's exactly what they did. They took me to the vet and had all kinds of annoying 'senior tests' done on me. C'mon, people, enough with the poking and prodding ��%BD'��%BD| Doc found some minor things, but nothing scary; just typical stuff for an older gal like me. I desperately needed a dental, so that's what they did first. Thankfully, the tooth fairy only got three of mine - and, yes, I got to keep this adorable little snaggletooth of mine that makes everyone smile, too. And now? I'm totally living up to my 'Sassy' name. I'm much happier and healthier and I prance around here like I rule the rescue. I'm now ready to prance on out of here and into my forever home like my brother did. If you're one of those special people who cherish us senior dogs (who still have a lot of fire and fun in us), I'm your girl. I get along fine with other dogs and am easygoing by nature.
