About Jack

Jack is half Catahoula, half Austrailian Shepherd. He is a fabulous family dog, but is possessive. He is anxious in new situations and with new people, especially men. Once you are accepted as a friend, he will love you. He is also protective of his food and bones. He is fine with other dogs in a nonthreatening situation like a trail, but does not like strange dogs walking by his property. He has been raised in our home since he was 8 weeks old. Our youngest child is 9, so I do not know how he would do around babies and toddlers. He is very playful, and smart. He has been E-Collar trained and is very responsive. He needs to live in a home with property, or with someone who has control over his social interactions. He does need to be exercised and loves to hike, run, and go mountain biking. His breed is a working breed.
