About Doug

Adoption Fee: $200
Shiba Inu mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Look at Doug! He is all ready for his Forever Home & People! Doug will make a wonderful family companion, as well as a companion for a single person. He gets along well with both dogs & cats & loves older children (at least 5). We estimate him to be 4-5 yrs old & he weighs 33 lbs, so he is a smaller guy. Doug loves to be close to you & lay at your feet. DNA can only tell but we are guessing him to be a Shiba Inu Mix. He is low energy so does well in the household just hanging out & being your buddy. Doug was rescued from the side of the road with a leg injury which he has been treated for & recovered from & his owners were never found. He is housebroken, crate trained, Heartworm negative & completely vetted with vaccines, neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccines & being maintained on Heartworm & Flea preventative. Doug knows several commands & is simply a wonderful boy! Streethearts Animal Rescue always tries to find a lost dog's owner during their stray hold & for some time after during their vetting process before placing a dog up for adoption. Most all dogs that are in this rescue are found lost, running or abandoned are not microchipped or spay/neutered (vaccine status is always unknown). They are very often in poor health, emaciated, injured or Heartworm positive when they are rescued. Usually, more often than not, the owner is not found which we sometimes see as a blessing to the dog that obviously was not well taken care of. We sometimes have dogs that are surrendered to us. Streethearts Animal Rescue always strives to find the very best homes for our rescue dogs, fitting them to the right potential new owner. We take care of all their vetting & medical needs prior to being available for adoption. The breed we post is most often pure speculation from the dog's appearance & could not be truly identified with accuracy without a DNA test. We operate from donations only & always welcome any financial help anyone can offer to assist with the care of these misplaced dogs needs. Donations can be made with PayPal to [email protected]
