About Pepper

PEPPER IN GARLAND, TX...Hello, my name is Pepper and I am a big puppy at heart. My foster mom says I am a work in progress. I wasn't taught many manners in my lifetime. I am housebroke and crate trained. I will go into my crate just to rest all on my own. I'm not sure about other dogs and cats right now. Nobody ever taught me how to play with other animals so my foster mom says it's best for me to be the only fur baby right now. I am not food aggressive. I allow my foster mom to take food right out from under my nose. I don't like it but I don't do anything. I love my humans. I am an XL lap puppy. I love to be everywhere they are. I even play with my foster mom's grandson. My foster mom keeps a watchful eye on me because I can get a bit grumpy when the non-fur baby wants to play too long or too rough. I'll give a little growl just to warn him. I have a soft mouth when I play with my humans and even though I'll put their whole hand in my mouth I know better than to bite down. I think I would be a lot better with larger kids. I still like being a puppy. I am working on my leash manners. I know when my foster mom picks up the leash it's time to go. My foster mom says I've done much better with the gentle leader when we are on our walks. I still need someone with a firm hand on the other end of my leash. As I said I'm a puppy at heart and love playing with stuffed animals and rope toys. If you're strong I'd love to play tug-of-war with you. I bet I can win with a quick shake of my head. I love to play with tennis balls too.
