About Snowy

Snowy is an 18 month old 23 pound cutie. He is part Schnauzer, we think he could also be part Bichon or Poodle. He is a hypoallergenic dog. Snowy is a playful guy who does well with other dogs and loves to cuddle. He is a shy guy at first and just wants to be close to his human. We had a hard time getting him far enough away from us to get pictures. He prefers to be sitting at your feet or cuddling in a lap. Because he is a shy guy he would prefer a home with no young children, quick movements and loud noises scare him. Snowy is one of those dogs who has to find the perfect spot to go potty. He can sniff around for quite a while before he finds it. Snows also loves to run zoomies in his yard. For these reasons we think Snowy would do best in a fenced yard. Snowy came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Kansas. Snowy was very happy to get out of a shelter and into a home. Snowy was originally found as a stray and was covered in fleas. He was so flea infested that he had bald patches and sores. His hair is growing in nicely but we do have him on Apoquel. Apoquel is not a steroid but does reduce inflammation and itchiness. Once his skin and coat are completely healthy again we don't think he will need Apoquel any longer but don't have any way to know for sure. Snowy is housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
