About Cookie

Cookie (DOB ~5/5/18) is a spayed short-haired white with tabby stops. She was found alone near a friend's house. Since then, she has become a perfect playmate to the other foster kittens in our home. Her personality is like the song 'Take A Walk On The Wild Side.' She can be calm and cuddly one minute, but crazy eyed the next. She brings out the shy ones and teaches them to play and that humans are not as scary as they think. She likes to be petted but is not so fond of being held unless she asks. She may give a grumpy meow when she first gets picked up, but settles into the forced cuddle that she realizes she enjoys. She is pretty independent most of the time but loves to play. When she isn't running through the house, she is sleeping really hard in her favorite spots. She likes to sun bathe in the kitchen, cuddle on your chest or next to your face at night. She is really good with our 'cat daddy' German Shepherd. She even convinced some of the other kittens that he may be big, but he's a gentle giant. Cookie loves to be scratched on the chin and have her whiskers rubbed. She rarely enjoys belly rubs unless she initiates them. She will let you know if she likes the rubs with her super loud purr. She likes to perch on shoulders when you're in a chair. She gets a little crazy eyed when hair dangles in her face. We have been trying to redirect that new habit by distracting her with a crinkle ball, jingle ball and little mouse toys. She will wake up from a dead sleep if she hears a crinkle ball. That is usually how we find her if she doesn't respond to the 'cat call'. She likes to chase the toys and sometimes will bring them back to you.
