About Jessie

Adoption Fee: $300
Australian Kelpie / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Only about 1 year old. Jessie was a stray from Kings County. Love Cassie's texts, we have a 'Wendy Dog'. She was right as usual. A 'stray' - this dog doesn't get off my heel so I really don't understand how that happened... except I do, she was dumped. Jessie looks to be mostly Kelpie, some Australian Cattle Dog, a fantastic combo, even if it was an accident. Jessie is awesome. She loved her transporter, Kandy, from the shelter, who really went the extra mile, and named Jessie. Jessie totally didn't get what she was doing in jail, and Kandy talked her down off a ledge so we could see the dog she really is. WHEW! That was close! Thank you Kandy. We went on a pack walk her 2nd day here. No leash, didn't even think about it. She's true to form. Hops in, hops out and as soon as she started off on her own, blasted the whistle and guess what? Yea, you knew, she turned on heel and came running back to me. Jessie came in with a present for me, kennel cough. But it's another opportunity to check her out. She wouldn't take her doxy in a pill meatball, she was unsure and probably not feeling well. So, down her throat it went. No problem though. First day, did that twice, 2nd morning, pilled again, but next dose, tried the meatball and she was very appreciative! Jessie is settling in and feels much better! So, a gorgeous young dog. Outstanding breed combo. Perfect disposition with people and other dogs. And didn't care about the office cat in the shelter. Wish they were all like this... although, the dogs here right now are all incredible.
