About Kade

I'm Kade a 2 year old standard Aussie with a tail. I came into ASF rescue after a rough past made me distrustful of people and new situations. Through a lot of love and patience I have blossomed into a loving, more confident dog. I still occasionally have moments when i get startled and become barky but i will listen and stop once I am reassured by my foster mom or trainer. I'm looking for a patient and understanding family who will provide me a safe calm place to continue to thrive. Ideally, My new home will be a quiet home without children (an older teen may be ok) or lots of activity and changes. Calm and steady with a strict routine is where i thrive. I need a tall fenced yard and a home that isn't in an area of lots of activity or a farm or small acreage. Because of My past, i will probably do best if i can have several meetings with my new potential family to allow me to become comfortable and make a successful transition. Once I bond and trust i will be your pal for life. My new adopter should be be within reasonable driving distance (2-3 hours from OKC) to allow these meets and to receive support from my foster mom and trainer. I am dog and cat friendly, crate and house trained, walk on a leash and enjoy riding in the car. I know basic commands of sit and down.
