Cleo was brought to the shelter in late August when her family of 3 years had a baby, and she no longer was wanted. Cleo did not handle this well, and for 3 days she didn't eat or drink. Shelter personnel were worried, and found a foster for Cleo. Within 48 hours she was eating and drinking ok, but still not really doing well. She let the foster pet her, but pinned her ears and hissed the whole time. Now, 6 weeks later, she loves boxes and cat trees. She is doing much better, but needs a home where there are cats that will accept her and allow her to be part of the family...the foster's cats are not very welcoming (read mean!) It is going to take someone new awhile to gain Cleo's trust, she really seems like her experiences with people has not been great. Do you love cats? Do you want to give some of that love back by giving a traumatized 3 year old kitty a chance at starting over? Cleo really needs you, even though she might not show her appreciation immediately. She loves boxes and cat trees. She is spayed, microchipped and current on her FVRCP vaccine.
