About Valentine

Border Collie / Lab
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Valentine is fostered in Milton, FL (Santa Rosa County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Valentine is an 11-week-old pup estimated to be 40-50 lbs fully grown. She will require a home with herding dog experience and a physically, fully fenced yard. Valentine is very people-oriented and frequently checks in for reassurance. She is high energy and has a real love for wrestling with her siblings. She is very smart and has picked up on clicker training very quickly. Valentine may do well at rally obedience. She does need to work on building her confidence because she can be quite timid, but her dynamics also may change when she leaves her siblings. Valentine is a very sweet, loving girl. Valentine needs a family that understands how to work with herding dogs and keep them busy. These pups respond very well to positive reinforcement, patience, and redirection. They are smart and are eager to please. Housetraining is going very well. The only times they have accidents inside is when they are playing and distracted and forget to ask to go out. They're very good at using pee pads when an emergency does arise. These pups will do best with a canine older sibling that will interact with them and play with them. They often look to each other for reassurance. Valentine will go home on a spay contract - once proof of spay is submitted within the specified time frame, $50 of her adoption donation can be refunded. Valentine is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, preventives, and microchipped
