About Aiden

One look into Aiden's soulful eyes and it's easy to get sucked in (3 This sweet approx 1 year old black lab mix has not had things easy. Originally found as a stray with mange, his skin has healed up beautifully (pictures do not do his shiny coat justice) and he is looking for a family willing to be patient and show him all the good (and fun!) things the world has to offer - kind words, pets, toys, warm blankets on a cold night, yummy treats....all the things a dog should experience. Aiden is extremely shy with new people and in new situations and will often try to hide, or sometimes bark at new comers. He has been with us for a few months, and it's tough for us to give him an idea of 'home life' while in our adoption center. His most favorite employees here are the ones who respect his space and don't force physical touch on him. He is a dog who we allow to have a 'routine', and we are careful not to force cuddles or affection, as it makes him nervous. It's tough to say, but we think Aiden would come around a little better outside of our playgroup environment, but he is so far removed from that situation, that we know he will need a lot of patience and a lot of time. Aiden LOVES other dogs, so we would like him to go to a home with one who will play with him, and maybe help him build some confidence and show him the world isn't as scary as he might think. Aiden would benefit from a patient family willing to give him a little time and direction, and help him with continued socialization so he grows up to be a confident, happy boy. He is good in a crate, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
