About Whitey

Hello, my name is Whitey Joe. I have a very distinctive look: one blue eye and one brown eye. My foster Mom thinks I'm kind of like David Bowie that way! It just gives me more character, not that I need any more because she says I have a great personality and am super sweet! I came to Puppy Pals from a shelter in Kentucky, but I'm just fine being a Buckeye! The vet says I'm two years old and I'm a featherweight at 5.9lbs. I've been to the vet and have been neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm and fecal tested (negative) and microchipped, so I'm good to go. I'm just two years old, so I'm active, and like to wrestle and play with my foster dog brother. My other foster brother is a grumpy older chi so we're fine just ignoring each other. I also live with two cats who I have no problems with, plus they're bigger than me! Though I'm fine with other little dogs, I may get scared around big dogs, who sometimes think a little guy like me is a toy, so I prefer to keep my distance from them. What I like to do most is to cuddle and get attention from my foster Mom, or anyone who will pay me some attention. I don't seem to have a problem with men either - sometimes my small dog brethren can be afraid or nervous around big guys, but not me! I'd probably do will around more mature kids... being so small myself, and wanting plenty of attention, it may be more difficult for me to live with little kids. I've also been out on the leash and do really well, so if you like to walk, I'd definitely like to come along. I sleep all night in my crate and stay there when my foster Mom goes to work. Once I got in to the routine of living here, I've been good about doing my business outside. I have done a few poops in the house, so my Mom must be vigilant about letting me out and working on my training, as will my new permanent home. I'm really quite the unique little catch, with charm, brains, looks and personality for miles and smiles!
