About Tucker

Siberian Husky
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

From TSDRs Tucker's foster mom: 'Sweet Tucker is still looking for his forever home. He loves to cuddle, go for hikes, and even chase/return a ball! He would make a perfect companion for an active person! He is patiently waiting for you!' He is also getting along with the cats at his foster home; he would need to be tested and possibly reinforced training with new cats in another home. He also needs an experienced dog owner. Email [email protected] for more info. (4/21/18) **** Update 8/25/18: Returned to rescue. Update 7/14/18: Adopted! ***** 'Meet Tucker! This handsome hound was rescued from a shelter, where he was running out of time. Now, he is hanging out with us until he finds a new home! Tucker is looking for a family who knows and understands the Husky breed! To learn more, see Dog's 101 at https\://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/dogs-101/videos/siberian-husky. This pretty boy is ALL athlete, and a true testament to his breed. He loves to run, and never tires so for those of you who are already on the trails, or looking to get off the couch more, this boy would make an excellent partner. He excels at just about anything including hiking, biking, trailing, swimming, and boating! He is ALL husky, and is your average build at around 50 lbs. He loves to talk, as most of his breed do, and enjoys engaging in adorable conversations that seem to turn pretty one sided near the end of it! He is extremely smart, and learns quickly! Though as they say, you can't outsmart a husky, they can be stubborn when they want to! Not to worry though, Tucker has manners and for the majority of the time, knows how to use them! He gets along well with most dogs, but can be a typical jester. He can pick on them at times when the play is over, as most huskies do, but a game of tag, keep away or fetch always grabs his attention! As most of his breed, he can be over confident and driven so a home without cats would be best for Tucker, since prey drive is common with his breed. As for children, like most Huskies they enjoy children because they themselves are pretty childish in personality and nature. However, we prefer a home who has experience with this breed, as they can be mouthy in their play. So older children or those with breed experience, is preferred!' ************ 2/2/17: TSDRs Tucker2 is having fun playing in the country but would like his own family to call his own!! He is a very energetic boy who needs to run and play! He also needs an experienced husky owner that can be just as 'stubborn, energetic and bull headed' as he is! HA!! He likes playing with other dogs but one that is definitely not alpha and one that doesn't really care about toys and where he feels he can be in control with them. For more info, please email [email protected]. ************ Tucker2 FKA Rio is a 1yr old male husky that was returned to rescue as his food/toy possessiveness was too much for a family with a young child and an older dog with health issues. He's doing better with some training. He would do well with a human that runs a lot or has a really big yard for him to run in as well as with a submissive, younger, active doggie playmate altho he can be a bit of a 'younger brother pesk' when playing! HA! He also needs an experienced owner. He is house and crated trained. Originally adopted 7/25/2016; returned 9/25/2016.
