About Wilma

Poor little Wilma came from not such a good situation. She looks nothing now like when we picked her up. Her ears weren't up, her stomach was all sucked in. We took her immediately to the vet and they wouldn't give her vaccines at first because they thought she may be sick. All that was wrong with her was that she was very scared and terrified. Within a day at her foster home she has blossomed into the beautiful dog she is. She is about 10 months old (as of Nov 2018). She is an awesome dog especially for what she has been through. Her foster mom loves her!! She says she is super calm but has a confident personality. Housebreaking was a breeze, she learned very quickly. She hadn't ever gone on a walk before so it is very new to her but she is learning - both the environment and the leash. She accepts redirection well, she's not persistent or stubborn. She is a very social dog and would do wonderful in social situations, like going places that allow dogs, outdoor patios, brew pubs, etc. Wilma really just wants to be near her human. She follows you around. She is good with dogs and has a submissive personality with them but prefers her people. She can be active and loves to go on hikes. She has discovered that indoors is the preferred place for her but exercise daily is needed or she does get restless and into trouble. She does like to have a backyard to hang out in but usually ends up by the back door wanting in. She really is an awesome dog!! And very intelligent.
