About Shadow

Shadow came to a high kill shelter in North Carolina, where no one ever claimed her. This sweet girl is mellow and loving, and all she wants is to rest by your side. Shadow has arthritis, and probably hip displaysia. It's hard to her to get around so she is content sitting by your side. We are not expecting a huge investment or grand gestures for a cure, we are looking for a family who understands her limits and will let her live out her days knowing she is loved. She is on pain meds, anti-inflammatory drugs and a joint supplement that seem to make her feel more comfortable, so we just ask that you continue to keep her as pain free as possible. has been spayed and is current on all vaccines and preventatives. She is totally house trained and gets along with the other dogs of all sizes in her temporary foster home. She loves treats and hanging out in the room where you are. Shadow weighs around 75 pounds and looks forward to each meal! She would do best in a home without a large number of stairs. She is able to negotiate two or three but much more than that becomes painful for her.
