About Daggie

Daggie is pretty much a perfect gentleman of a Rat Terrier. Only 5 years old and weighing 18 lbs., he has outgrown the manic puppy stage and has settled into a well-balanced, well-trained, happy, and friendly young adult. Daggie is perfectly house-trained, has good house manners, and knows all of the basic commands such as sit, off, stay, leave it, and come, as well as a few fun tricks like spin and high five. He's incredibly smart, attentive, and eager to please, which makes training a snap. Daggie has a moderate energy level if he is given daily exercise. He enjoys adventuring around the yard and soaking up the sun. He loves going on walks and making new friends along the way. He also loves to swim! Daggie gets along with some dogs, but not all, and he would prefer to be an 'only child' in his new home where he could enjoy being the center of attention and not have to share the couch with anyone but you. One thing Daggie doesn't understand is small humans. They frighten him and he will nip if pressured, so families with toddlers or young children are not a good fit. Teens, however, would be OK. Daggie is otherwise so loving, loyal, and affectionate--just a gem of a dog really!
