About Shane

Shane is an amazingly loving pup that gets on with just about everyone and everything! He is a very fun loving dog and has overcome so many obstacles it is surprising he is still alive! He is a special needs boy in that he is good for now but he is being treated for heartworm with the slow kill method i.e. heartgard chewable once a month (not contagious to other animals at this point) and his right rear leg is out of the socket and will remain that way (was believed to have been hit by a car and never treated) although it doesn't appear to bother him at all. Veterinarians believe it is best to do nothing. He is very low key and will sit and lay down on command. Needs work on leash walking as pulls like a mac truck until he has time to do his business, but with a little work he will learn quickly! He is a smart boy! Everyone that meets him falls in love with him. Once he thinks your his he can act protective but it's all show until you pet him. Has had serious infection that has been treated already and requires special dry food (Urinary SO to dissolve bladder stones that are very small). He sounds hi maintenance but he is really anything but. Super big kisser and snuggler. Rides in a car like a champ! Please check out the facebook video we made by clicking on facebook video!
