About Mama

Mama was seized by Animal Control in SC. She is very frightened of being caught is small spaces and doorways and moves cautiously. She is getting better about this. Person who fostered her previously was a man and she seems to be less fearful of men and more playful, but she is very loving and calm with women. She is absolutely NOT friendly with other dogs but will not pull toward or bark at other dogs if she sees them which can be misleading. She likes to play outside and sometimes her barking during play (almost the only time she does bark) can be mistaken for aggression. She likes to lay quietly on the floor. Mama needs a quiet calm environment and a fenced in yard to help her do best. If you have that type of environment she is a wonderful loving girl and she needs to know there is no need to fear so much anymore. She has the softest dark silver coat I have ever petted! She puts her head on your lap for loving. Eyes so sad it melts your heart. Extremely muscled. Very low key in the home. Not one to jump on the furniture or you. Rides in car fine. Will sit on command and gently lick a treat out of your hand...does't grab at food. Not food aggressive with humans. 2 years old.
