About Beau of Indiana

Poodle
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Reason for being in rescue: Surrendered by owners who recognized that Beau needed more rural living than their suburban home could offer Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Weight: 70 lbs Height: 26 in - this is a big boy Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Beau is looking for a farm to call home. He hates the noise of traffic and broke two windows barking at passing cars and running into the fence trying to get to the people walking by in his previous home. He also does not want to live with cats. He gets along fine with other dogs. Beau can be anxious about meeting new people at first and needs a quiet home and owners that will work patiently with him. When he met our transport caregivers, it took about half an hour and he was sitting in laps so it's not going to take long. What is my personality like? Beau is a good boy who just needs country living. He likes the freedom of running in a large, fenced yard without the noise and distractions of city life. Beau does okay in the car - he just moves around and drools a lot. He has never been crate trained. He could use some training but he walks well on a leash, sits and stays etc How do I act when I first meet new people? Other tips and tidbits: Beau has a heart as big as the country he loves. He'd thrive with some love and affection. He has been bounced and unwanted several times this year and we're going to be picky picky about making sure the next home is his forever one. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
