About Booker

Booker is a 9-lb. hunk of spunk, who's about 2 years old. This Rat Terrier mix will make you laugh, smile, and want to pick him up for hugs and kisses! Booker is house-trained and crate trained, and he loves riding in the car and going for walks. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and loves to play. Even though his terrier temperament can bring out a bit of bossiness towards the others, he really does need another active canine companion around to help expend some of his high energy. (He would likely make a great flyball or agility pup.) Kitties, on the other hand, are a no-no due to his high prey drive. And with his small size and personality, young children are not a fit either. Booker does pretty well with new people in the outside world, but he's very protective in his own home and will bark and growl at new people who enter the house. His foster family is working with him to help him with these insecurities, and he's going to need a dog-savvy adopter who will continue his training to improve this behavior. The person who understands the mentality of a small dog and provides guidance to this little fella with the big personality is going to have one awesome dog!
