About FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED

Say hello to POPPY, a super sweet and stunning 10 month old, 30lb female dutch shepherd/lab mix puppy recently rescued from a high kill shelter in the South. She is a submissive pup and was so frightened when she first arrived at the shelter, she crawled along on her belly through the kennel of dogs excitedly barking to her. When it was just too much, she rolled over on her back until a volunteer coaxed her to move on which she was happy to do. She enjoyed a long visit with the Jessie, the resident temperament test dog, and Miss Kitty too. With them POPPY seemed like a different dog-- happy, affectionate, confident, playful, obedient, alert and engaged. She rolled over a few times but only for some serious belly rubs. POPPY came in as a stray so we don't know much about her yet. We do know she is a beautiful and smart girl with a sweet and gentle nature looking for a loving forever home. POPPY needs someone loving and patient who will commit to spending time with her working on confidence building, obedience training and socialization. She will be easy and fun to train because she's smart, eager to please and loves treats. POPPY won't be around for very long. POPPY is spayed, heart worm negative and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee is $400.
