About Mae

Hello my name is Mae! I was left abandoned on a country road in Robeson County NC when my foster mom found me. I was tired, hungry and really hot. She took me home and soon learned I was going to be a mommy. She kept me safe and reached out to my rescue and asked them to help. My 9 babies are now 11 weeks old and in separate foster homes now. I am only 1 year old so I'm basically still a pup myself so I love to play with my dog friends and play with my toys. The vet said I am a dachshund mix so my rescue doesn't really know what I am mixed with. I have a long body, short legs and only weigh 25 pounds. I just want to find my forever home where I will never be dumped out by myself ever again. I love to lay on the bed or couch with my foster mom and cuddle so I hope you will pick me so I can share the big bed with you. I am crate trained and have done really well with house training as well. My foster mom says I need to be fed by myself to keep everyone safe because I don't like any animals around me when I eat. My rescue thinks its because I was left out on my own and didn't know where or when my next meal would be so now I guard. Other than that I love being around my doggie friends.
