About Duluth

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi, I'm Duluth. I'm being fostered this week with my buddy, Holly. We did a photoshoot which was super fun. Foster mom says every time she looked my way I immediately wagged my tail, rolled over, or run to her for some loving! From foster mom, 'so far all I can say is he is a love bug. One look in his direction and his face lights up. He's great with my 4 year old, and he's play ing good with Holly. I have no idea what he's like with cats, but he wagged his tail and went up to our neighbor's dog when she came to our fence. Duluth would love a soft bed to rest his sore leg on at night and someone or some family who has a lot of love to give him. He limps when he walks, however, he can run! He just doesn't use his bad leg when running. It doesn't stop him from playing at all though. He likes to sleep on his back and be close to you. He seems to be toilet trained, no peeing in the house so far, and he is definitely crate trained!' Duluth is a male Husky / Terrier mix. We estimate that he was born around June 1, 2018 and he currently weighs about 27 pounds. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
