About Mindy

Mindy is a very sweet girl who loves to play fetch and chase the laser pointer. She is happy to be in her xpen with some nice toys, chewies, and her comfy bed. She also loves to place chase with the other dogs in the house. Mindy is almost 5 months old, 4 pounds, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for adoption. She will need to be in a home with children over 12, and also needs to be with dogs under 10 lbs. She has been around cats who understand dogs, but she will likely chase a cat unfamiliar with her energy. Mindy is crate trained and is working on her house training. Mindy came to CAMO from a hoarding/breeding situation in which her mother, a toy poodle, was tied to a tree. It is unclear how Mindy's leg was broken. Since there were large dogs and people, someone could have stepped on her, or, the chain that was attached to her mother's neck may have wrapped around her leg and broken it. The owner surrendered her to CAMO Rescue, and CAMO had her leg treated. Mindy wore a body cast for over 6 weeks to repair the 3 breaks in her leg. According to her vet, she has healed nicely, but Mindy should never be allowed to jump down from sofas, beds, or any high object since doing so may re-break those tiny bones. Mindy is very high energy, so she will need to be constantly monitored when not in her crate or x-pen.
