About Yeti, Adopted

Boxer
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

'Yeti is starting to settle in (finally, happy dance!) and that natural tail of his isn't staying tucked between his legs all the time. He still has a ways to go in getting that boxer spirit & confidence level up. According to his shelter paperwork he lived outside & had been with the same family his entire life of 5 years. Then being in the shelter for about 10 days, we can understand why he needs space & time to adjust. Ruger (our male boxer) has been a great comfort to Yeti & has really helped him come out of his shell, it's super cute how Yeti just follows his every move, he absolutely adores his Ruger! Ranger (our hyper male GSD) is another story, Yeti would prefer Ranger stayed crated 24/7, I think it's a mixture of Ranger's high energy level, the fact that Ranger is always moving around and he really wants to be Yeti's friend & is bigger than Yeti so I think that scares Yeti a bit. We're doing walks together to help form a bond & keeping them mostly separate inside, doing short spurts of having all 3 dogs out together. When it comes to the crate, that is Yeti's safe space, he puts himself in there when he's feels uncomfortable, so his new home will need to make sure they have a crate for him. Not saying he has to be crated but he needs the option. Yeti is super lovey once he warms up, loves to snuggle, gives sweet kisses but isn't obsessive about it. He would be over the moon to have a home that let him lay on the couch! He is great with kids, but it's not a must for his forever home. He needs a home with a family/person that will love him, be patient, kind and calm. If we can find him a home that has another dog that he hits it off with, that would be a dream come true for him. Quick things to know: -Has a natural tail -NOT deaf, has selective hearing when he's stressed -5 years young -hasn't been a big barker so far appears to be house & crate trained, no issues yet (knock on wood) -messy eater -doesn't know commands but comes when called -enjoys walks, does well on the leash' See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=3610 If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out our adoption application to begin the process at http://savetheboxers.com/adoptionapp.php.
