About Scrappy

This is Scrappy, a loving and playful pit bull who loves to have lots of area to run around and play. Scrappy deserves to find a stable home that breed restrictions will not cause any issues. Because he is a pit bull it has been difficult for Scrappy to find a perminant home as he has lived in multiple different locations up until he was 8 months old and then with myself since then here in Maine in a household of 4 adults adults, one 6 month old baby, and a golden lab. Although there has been some instances where Scrappy can show aggression toward strangers, particularly older men, he has never actually hurt anyone, just likes to act tough to protect the ones he loves. Now, because I'm joining the military, I am looking to find Scrappy a stable home where he has plenty of space to play and be loved as I have run out of options to keep him due to the difficulty of having a pit bull in regards to insurance and restrictions on breeds with housing. Another dog may work with Scrap as he gets along great with my parents yellow lab who he has lived with for the past two years. It is a toss up when it comes to other dogs he either gets along great with them or does not, so I suggest slowly getting him acquainted with another dog. He is a great listener and very obedient in regards to listening to his owners. He loves to cuddle and lick incessantly but will stop if you tell him to stop. Chasing his tail is his main hobby because he loves to chew things and can run out of toys quickly! I suggest big red hard plastic balls, bones or kong toys.
