About Littleton

Littleton, affectionally known as TonTon, is a 9.5 year old male long hair dachshund. Littleton came to us weighing in at 30+ pounds. He is now down to 24 pounds and feeling like a new pup. He is looking for a forever home that will help him continue his weight loss and attain his ideal weight of 15 pounds. He loves to take short walks, rides great in the car, does well with other dogs and has lived with a cat. He is a very good boy and would enjoy a home where his alone time would be minimal, a ramp would be ideal to get in and out of the house but one or two steps is ok. He is not comfortable being picked up, so a home with a lot of interior stairs is not an option. Apartment/condo living may be ok if his alone time is minimal as he does tend to get vocal if left for an extended amount of time. He loves to explore so a fenced in yard would be great, but not a deal breaker for someone that is willing to take him exploring on his leash.
