About BEAR

Adoption Fee: $ 400.00
Poodle
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

SAY HELLO TO BEAR! Bear is an adorably sweet 4 years old Poodle boy. Weighing in at just 12 pounds, they really don't come any more perfect. Bear came to us through no fault of his own. His owner surrendered him to us and we never really understood exactly why. Sadly, it happens more often than not - these little guys just don't fit inti the family's lifestyle anymore. But we know how special he is and blessed will be the family that welcomes him into their home. Bear is just a really great boy. He is a true lap dog and would like someone who is home a lot who he can sit with. A retired couple or person, stay at home parent or someone who works from home would be wonderful. He gets a little anxious when his person leaves but not barky. He is so easy to care for, get along with and he listens so well. Bear is housetrained and does not mind the crate. He gets along very well with all his foster mates here at the rescue. He plays well but is not overly playful. He walks like a perfect little gentleman on his leash and greets everyone affectionately. Bear rides nicely in the car and makes a great co-pilot. He has no medical issues and understand basic commands ~ he is as smart as he is adorable! Bear would make a wonderful family friend. He would thrive with another small dog in the home similar in size, age and personality. He also would enjoy the company of kids that are older than the age of 10 who are both respectful and experienced with the gentle handling of a small breed dog. Bear is a longer coated breed that will require regular weekly brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Bear's adoption fee is $ 400.00 His adoption fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Bear will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
