SAY HELLO TO CHARLIE! Charlie is an 8 year old adorably sweet grey and white coated Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix boy. Weighing in at 20 pounds, there are just so many wonderful things about Charlie! He is just simply the cutest and sweetest little man! Charlie was surrendered to us by his owners in pretty rough shape. Not sure really why they even had a dog as they neglected him significantly. But through all that, our little Charlie shows no sign of ill will towards anyone. All he wants is for the simple things in life like his own people who will love him right back. Charlie is a sweet boy looking for an owner he can cherish. He will follow you around and wants to sleep in bed with you but won't bark or cry when left alone. As stated before, Charlie came to us very neglected yet is still a very devoted boy who deserves a forever home where he will be loved and valued for the wonderful dog he is. He is house trained and walks just fine on his leash. He greets all that he meets with a tail wag and a smile. He gets on well with all his foster mates and doesn't appear to have any issues with cats. He does not care much for the crate, but he is very well behaved and is not destructive. We think he would enjoy the companionship of another small dog similar in size, age and temperament as he. Charlie has no health issues other than seasonal allergies which is quite common with this breed. He currently is not on any medication, however does get medicated baths as needed and eats only grain free kibble and treats. Charlie has not been introduced to little kids, but feel he would do ok with older kids - like around the age of 11 - who have an understanding and respect for small dogs. Charlie is a longer coated breed that will require regular weekly brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Charlie's adoption fee is $ 350.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Charlie will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
