About Max

Max is full of energy and loves to play with older kids, but he also is happy to nap while the adults work on the computer during the day. He loves to chase bugs, dig and sniff after squirrels when he's outside on potty breaks. He is house trained by ringing a bell at the door. He walks on a leash, but he's still learning that he's not the boss and doesn't need to pull on the leash. He does like to bark at strangers and other dogs, but he is usually fine once he gets to know them. He sleeps in his crate at night and stays in a play pen when no one is home. He loves treats and is very food-motivated. He is a smart dog and can learn new tricks. He knows sit, stay, leave it, and come. Whether he decides to obey is another issue. :) He tolerates regular grooming, as well. Max is a sweet dog, and he needs a loving home where someone can give him the attention that he needs.
