About Buddy

Buddy was rescued 3 years ago and is 4 years old. He is country raised and will kill wild pests like possums if allowed. He tollerates cats if they are yours but is territorial. He gets along well with people and loves them, especially men. I am disabled and he has been a joy to me and I really do not want to place him forever. However my daughter has been diagnosed with cancer and is facing surgery and some long term treatment and needs me to come help with the children so I need to find a good country home for him. I tried finding a temporary placement, which is what I prefer, but either there are none or they want thousands of dollars per month which I cannot afford. Buddy needs a safe, country home to live in and if you could take him on a temporary basis for a few months, that would be great, but if I have to place him permanently, I have to put my family first. He really is a great dog and I hate to part with him. He is housebroken, tolerates my cats and got along with my great Dane before she died of old age. I have not had him around children, but I think the people that abandoned him had children as he seems to like neighbor children who pass by. I live a very solitary life so we don't see many people, but those we do he is exceedingly friendly towards, especially the men, and has NEVER shown aggression to people. He can show aggression towards outside animals but once he understands that an animal belongs he accepts it or in the case of cats, tolerates them.although he appears to be mixed breed, he looks and acts all Rotty. I have to fly out of state within two weeks so need to home him ASAP. If you can take him whether permanently or on a temporary basis, please contact me.
