About Chihuahua

Bubby is a 2 year old male who was found starving in a dark garage. He had malnutrition, worms and fleas. He has had 2 trips to the Vet and given a clean bill of health. I guess his name could be Lucky. He has some issues with food obsession due to his malnutrition. He obsesses with food and the thought of it. He gets along with other dogs well. We have 2 other dogs in the house. I think this dog would be happier with a stay at home person who can devote a lot of time to his recovery. He is sweet and loyal. He wakes up in his sleep growling and barking at something he is dreaming about. I think he has PTSD from some of the trauma he has been through. It appears he had been kicked at some time in his life as his left leg, perfectly operable, bows out beyond normal. He has never bitten anyone that we know of...our family comforts him in his nightmares and he is always happy for the comforting hand. I don't believe he is kennels trained as we tried to keep him in a kennel when he first arrived. It seemed to traumatize him more. Bubby will make a great pet for someone who spends a lot of time at home and has time to devote to his recovery. I think he will be able to overcome these obstacles in time with the right person. We did not intend to keep him but we had to rescue him. Every day we watch him getting stronger and more of a playful dog. Its a sight to see.
