About Sadie Mae

Sadie showed up on our door step a couple months ago. She decided to stay with us then, but unfortunately we are not equipped to handle the needs of a dog like her. She's got some behavioral issues that I know can be worked out with the proper attention and training, but I just can't meet those needs for her. She's very comfortable with women and small children, but most males seem to make her nervous and over protective. She's very sweet and affectionate to me, my husband, our baby, and our other dog. I've never seen her interact with any other dog, so I'm not certain how she is with them. As far as I can tell, she is a purebred blue pit bull terrier. She has the temperament of a younger dog, but I'm not sure how old she is. She appears to have whelped as some point, but probably not recently. She really is a very sweet dog, she just needs some help smoothing out her edges, and we don't have the expertise to train her the way she needs to be trained.
