About Foster

German Shepherd lovers: You would be hard pressed to find an easier going dog than Foster. Foster is a male, neutered, house trained, 7 year old GSD who weighs in the 70 lb range; Foster lived with adults and other pets before he was surrendered to our shelter. During a recent event at our local university one college student joked that Foster was 'boring' because he sat calmly and 'didn't do anything.' But perky puppies with exuberant enthusiasm are over-rated; there's so much to value about a dog who is comfortably mellow. Out in the yard Foster loves to fetch green tennis balls and carry them around in his mouth, all the while eyeing you with his charming grin; he can't seem to decide which is better: playing ball with you, or sitting like a dream for some serious head scratches and belly rubs.
