Meet Luca We have a very special shelter guest to introduce! Meet Luca, the newest member of our Heartworm Heroes program! Luca is a 3 year old female who weighs 54lbs. Luca is the happiest-go-luckiest girl! One look in her direction and that tail starts wagging--and the butt goes with it :) She is polite when meeting new people, and good with children, too. With other dogs, Luca can be quite bossy--it takes a special dog to be her buddy. She has played with a select few dogs here, only those who are tolerant and match her level. Luca has won our hearts with her adorable personality and goofy antics! Come meet her and join us in the Luca Fan Club! Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Luca is seeking a home who can help see her through her Heartworm treatment, which is sponsored by Shelter Friends - a non profit charitable organization supporting the animals of Josephine County Animal Shelter. Oregon. Not only do they pay for the treatment, but they are there to support you every step of the way. After treatment, she will be heartworm free!. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if your dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped.
